From the 3rd to the 5th of January 2012 Bob Stoloff will be in Ferrara for his Vocal Seminar

Bob Stoloff has taught for 28 years at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.

Bob is a distinguished guest conductor, clinician and choir/big band adjudicator at jazz festivals throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. His unique and comprehensive workshops include traditional scat singing, spontaneous group improvisation, vocal percussion, body drumming and rhythm section grooves.

“My approach to teaching vocal improvisation stems from years of diverse training as an multi-instrumentalist. Tonguing techniques used to play wind instruments, for example, will greatly enhance a scat singer’s articulation of syllables in the jazz idiom. Knowledge of the basic rudiments and drum beat patterns will improve the accuracy of beat-boxing, scat-drumming and other forms of vocal percussion."

Prices for enrolment: 200€ for enrolment before 30/11/2011, 230€ for enrolment after 30/11/2011

Wednesday 4th January students will perform together with Bob Stoloff at People Restaurant Aperitif in Ferrara in a very special "Vocal Night"

Thursday 5th January The seminar concludes with the performance “Latin Groove”, where the participants will perform together with Bob Stoloff and the Barioca 4ett, at the Cantina Bentivoglio in Bologna.

The Seminar will be held in the meeting rooms of the People Restaurant in Via O. Putinati, 2., Ferrara. Lesson times are from 10.00 to 13.00 and from 14.30 to 17.30
